  "faq": [
    {
      "q": "Is there a probation period?",
      "a": "Most schools run a 3–6 month probation with the same salary as confirmation. Confirmation is typically subject to satisfactory performance reviews and document verification."
    },
    {
      "q": "Can I negotiate the salary at Westridge Hilton School Makoiya?",
      "a": "Yes — the band shown is a starting point. Schools consider your last-drawn CTC, teaching experience, board expertise (CBSE) and any specialist skills. Come prepared with a specific number and a 1-line justification."
    },
    {
      "q": "How do I write an application email for this PGT Biology role?",
      "a": "A ready template with subject line, three-paragraph structure and attachment checklist (with a \"PGT Biology — Westridge Hilton School Makoiya\" subject-line example) is in the guide: /guides/teacher-application-letter."
    },
    {
      "q": "Is background verification done before joining?",
      "a": "Yes — most schools run document and reference verification, and many use third-party background checks. Keep your last 2–3 employer references and original certificates ready."
    },
    {
      "q": "Do staff get fee concession for their children?",
      "a": "Many schools offer a tuition-fee concession for the children of full-time staff, subject to admission criteria and available seats. The appointment letter or the school's written HR policy is the authoritative source — confirm what applies before treating it as compensation."
    },
    {
      "q": "Is the salary CTC or in-hand?",
      "a": "Most Indian schools quote annual CTC. In-hand is lower than CTC once employee PF (12% of basic, capped at ₹15,000 basic/month), professional tax and — where applicable — income tax under the new regime are deducted. Plug the offered CTC into the in-hand salary calculator at /tools/in-hand-salary-calculator for a line-by-line breakdown against this job."
    },
    {
      "q": "What kind of professional development is offered?",
      "a": "Most schools run weekly/monthly in-house PD sessions on pedagogy and assessment. Funded external workshops (board-specific or subject-specific) are offered to teachers in good standing."
    },
    {
      "q": "Do I have to work weekends?",
      "a": "Standard week is Monday to Saturday (often half-day Saturday). Occasional event Sundays exist (Annual Day, Sports Day, admissions test days) and are usually compensated with a comp-off."
    },
    {
      "q": "What is the average PGT Biology salary in Ambedkar Nagar?",
      "a": "Refer to the on-page \"Salary snapshot\" for the current market band. Broadly, PGT Biology pay in Ambedkar Nagar rises with years of experience, board (IB > CBSE > state), and school size — the linked full pay report breaks these out further."
    },
    {
      "q": "How will I know if my application is being reviewed?",
      "a": "Every status change (viewed, shortlisted, interview scheduled, offered) is pushed to your dashboard and email. Turn on job alerts for the same role in the same city so you don't lose momentum if this one pauses."
