<p>Holy Cross Convent School &amp; Jr. College, Kalyan, an English Medium School for girls, was founded in 1974. It is owned and managed by the Maharashtra Holy Cross Sisters Society.The Society is a member of the Religious Congregation namely &ldquo;The Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross&rdquo; founded by Fr. Thedosius Florentini and Mother Maria Theresa Scherer in 1856 in Switzerland.Holy Cross Convent School &amp; Jr. College, Kalyan is recognized by Maharashtra state board of education. It is a member of the Mumbai Archdiocesan board of education and it aims at educating primarily the catholic community around and extends to the members of other communities.The school stands for academic excellence, formation of character and development of skills based on the love of God and service of man as modeled in Jesus Christ with a view to training citizens distinguished for their all round development and sincere commitment to God and country.</p>
