Takshila School

In 2009, we geared up to reach out and ensure quality education for all in India, and we unambiguously endeavoured to simultaneously make the initiative scalable and sustainable by design. Keeping ‘Quality Education’ as the mainstay of our initiative, we explored the approach of various smaller cities and towns of India towards social development.

Takshila has been designed as an educational intervention that would positively impact the majority of the country’s population and propel them towards a successful holistic development. Takshila’s intent is to better understand the education needs at the grassroots level and build a sustainable learning system. The system is sequential, child centric, scientific in being completely skill-based and believes in building lifelong learners and leaders rather than churning out inert followers. “Learning by Doing” is the key mantra followed at Takshila.
