R. S. Convent Sainik School the prestigious institution affiliated to C.B.S.E. was a dream realesation of 'Ranju Singh Educational Society' led by Sri Sudama Singh, a retired army person. The serene and green atmosphere of Ledhupur a nondescript village a few kilometers from the city of Varanasi and adjacent to the international Buddha pilgrimage centre Sarnath, provided the right setting for the strategy of this modern day 'Gurukul'. The official inauguration of the school took place on 04/04/2004. The school's begining was humble but high were it's aspiration. It was set up with the aim of providing an integrated and all-round education.
