About the role
The Doon School is hiring a School Librarian to join our Boarding school in Dehradun. You will work with a collaborative team to deliver high-impact learning aligned to the ICSE curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to the ICSE curriculum and our learner profile
- Assess student progress through formative and summative tasks, and share timely feedback
- Differentiate instruction to support mixed-ability classrooms, including learners with additional needs
- Partner with parents and the pastoral team to support student wellbeing
- Contribute to subject planning, school events, and ongoing professional development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in the subject area; B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification
- 3–10 years of relevant classroom experience, preferably with ICSE schools
- Strong subject knowledge, classroom management, and communication skills
- Comfortable with ed-tech tools (Google Workspace, learning management systems)
