About the school: Modern High School for Girls was founded in 1952 by Smt. Rukmani Devi Birla. Modern High School International, established by Smt. Nirmala Birla, started as the international wing of Modern High School for Girls, Kolkata in 2018 has been formally inaugurated by Dr Krishnaswamy Kasturirangan on 16th December 2023.
