PET/PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS

B.P.Ed / equivalent recognised qualification; graduation + recognised Physical Education qualification is generally expected under applicable recruitment rules Strong knowledge of Physical Education and sports Ability to conduct age-appropriate fitness and physical-development programmes Knowledge of Athletics, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Cricket, Badminton, etc. Ability to teach basic sports skills and techniques Knowledge of fitness assessment, warm-up, stretching and conditioning Ability to organise Annual Sports Day, inter-house and inter-school competitions Ability to identify and develop talented/sporting students Basic knowledge of first aid, injury prevention and emergency response Good classroom and playground discipline Ability to motivate students and promote teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership Knowledge of child safety and safeguarding practices Ability to maintain sports records, attendance, fitness records and achievement records Ability to work with students of different age groups and abilities, including inclusive participation.
