About the role
Ahmedabad International School is hiring a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) — Ahmedabad to join our Day school in Ahmedabad. You will work with a collaborative team to deliver high-impact learning aligned to the IB curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to the IB curriculum and our learner profile
- Assess student progress through formative and summative tasks, and share timely feedback
- Differentiate instruction to support mixed-ability classrooms, including learners with additional needs
- Partner with parents and the pastoral team to support student wellbeing
- Contribute to subject planning, school events, and ongoing professional development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in the subject area; B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification
- 3–10 years of relevant classroom experience, preferably with IB schools
- Strong subject knowledge, classroom management, and communication skills
- Comfortable with ed-tech tools (Google Workspace, learning management systems)
Nice to have
- Prior experience leading a grade level, club, or co-curricular activity
- Exposure to project-based or inquiry-led pedagogy
- Postgraduate qualification in education or the subject area
