I am a passionate English teacher with a background in TESOL and over 10 years of experience teaching pupils/students of different age groups, stage or levels. I hold a Bachelor degree in Education from the University of Cape Coast in Cape Coast, Ghana, a Master of Teaching degree (M. Teach degree) in Education from University of Brunei Darussalam in Brunei, Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’ (a-3 Year Post Secondary) and a-120 onsite TEFL International TESOL certificate. I enjoy creating engaging lessons that help students build confidence in the 4 language skills, thus, speaking, reading, writing and listening. I have the pedagogical knowledge, skills, competencies, the know-how and the relevant teaching experience, to comfortably, competently, efficiently, effectively and productively teach English/ESL to maximize students’ learning outcomes and achieve set or targeted teaching objectives. I decided to apply for this position because I admire your school’s commitment to quality education and student-centered learning. In my previous role as a subject teacher/headmaster in Ghana Education Service, I taught English to primary/secondary/adult students. My duties included lesson planning, classroom management, preparing students for exams, and using interactive methods like group work, role plays, and digital tools to make lessons engaging. I also tracked student progress, provided feedback, and worked closely with parents to support learning. Through this, I improved student participation and test scores by 50%.
