About Maharashtra Vidya Mandal
Maharashtra Vidya Mandal was founded by a group of trained, educated ladies from Pune in 1954. Inspired by the vision and zeal of Madam Montessori, they looked upon education not only as a profession but as a mission. The nursery school gives a strong foundation to formal primary education. The school strongly stresses that “the soul should remain Indian” though the medium of instruction is English. It is one of the schools in Pune which imparts not only quality education but also endeavors to imbibe devotion, discipline, obedience and high moral and social values through various co-curricular activities.
