About
"Maitreyee Ghosh is a warm and experienced educator who grew up in the rural village of Kanchanmala. After completing her Bachelor of Arts in English, Diploma in Elementary Education, and Montessori Teachers Training, she dedicated many years to raising her son — an experience that deeply shaped her patient and nurturing approach to teaching.
Over the years she has taught Bengali to high-school students at Monfort High School and Auxilium Hostel, worked with primary children as a home tutor, and served as a teacher at Bimal Singha Academy and St. Arnold’s. She also contributed to youth development programmes at Nehru Yuva Kendra.
Known for her gentle, grandmotherly presence, Maitreyee creates a homely and comforting atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and ready to learn. Her maturity, life experience, and natural care for young people make her a steady and reassuring guide in any classroom."
Teaching methodology
Maitreyee’s teaching is grounded in a strong understanding of phonetics. She carefully breaks down sounds, pronunciation patterns, and speech rhythms so that children can hear, produce, and internalise language accurately. Through systematic phonetic practice, guided reading aloud, and spoken drills, she helps students move from hesitant speaking to clear, confident fluency in both Bengali and English. Lessons are paced gently, with constant reinforcement, so that even quieter or slower learners feel supported and gradually gain mastery.
