About
"I am an Integrated M.Sc. Psychology graduate with a strong interest in child and adolescent development, student wellbeing, behavioural support, and psychoeducational interventions. I have developed practical experience through child-focused academic support, behavioural observation, individualized learning assistance, mental health exposure, and community-based educational and wellbeing programmes.
Through my experience as a private tutor, I have worked closely with children with different learning needs, providing individualized academic support and helping them develop greater confidence, engagement, and participation in learning. My work has strengthened my skills in communication, active listening, observation, rapport building, patience, and adapting support according to individual needs.
I have also gained practical exposure through internships and training in mental health and wellness settings, including the Government Mental Health Centre, Kozhikode, and the AFAs Wellness & Learning Enhancement Centre. These experiences have strengthened my understanding of psychological wellbeing, behavioural concerns, developmental needs, and the importance of a supportive and empathetic approach when working with children, adolescents, and families.
Alongside my academic background, I am currently pursuing training in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), further developing my understanding of behavioural principles, positive reinforcement, observation, skill development, and individualized behavioural support. I am particularly interested in applying evidence-informed approaches to support children’s emotional, behavioural, social, and academic development.
As the Director of a community-focused organization, I have also been involved in educational, child development, life-skills, career guidance, parent-support, and community wellbeing initiatives. This experience has strengthened my organizational, leadership, coordination, and interpersonal skills while giving me opportunities to work with children, parents, educators, and community members.
My academic interests include child and adolescent psychology, emotional wellbeing, behavioural development, learning support, and mental health. I have also participated in research and presented work on topics including depression and loneliness among college students and emotional maturity and psychological wellbeing among tribal and non-tribal adults.
I am an IELTS-qualified professional with strong English communication and interpersonal skills. I bring an empathetic, student-centred, collaborative, and adaptable working style, with a commitment to maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and respect for individual differences.
I am seeking opportunities where I can apply my psychology background and developing ABA skills to contribute meaningfully to student wellbeing, behavioural support, learning, and overall development while continuing to grow professionally in the field of child and adolescent support."
Teaching methodology
I follow a student-centred, supportive and inclusive approach, adapting learning strategies to each student’s individual needs, abilities and learning style.
