About
"I am a passionate Science educator with 2+ years of teaching experience, currently teaching Biology and Chemistry for Grades 6–8 and Environmental Science for Grade 9, with experience in the IGCSE curriculum. I hold a strong foundation in Biology, Chemistry, laboratory techniques, and scientific inquiry, and enjoy creating engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that encourage students to think critically and connect science to real life. My experience also includes lesson planning, curriculum development, assessment design, and student-centred teaching. I am particularly interested in international and residential schools where I can contribute to a diverse learning community while continuing to grow as an educator."
Teaching methodology
My teaching methodology is student-centred, inquiry-driven and experiential, with a strong emphasis on conceptual understanding and scientific thinking. I use real-world contexts, experiments, questioning and problem-solving to help students move beyond memorisation and develop the ability to observe, analyse, evaluate and apply scientific concepts independently.
Results & impact
- The impact I aim to make goes beyond marks and examination results. I care more about helping students become curious, confident and independent thinkers who are not afraid to ask questions, make mistakes and find answers. I want my classroom to be a space where students learn to connect science with everyday life, develop the confidence to think critically and understand why something happens rather than simply memorising it. For me, success is seeing a student move from “I can't do this” to “Let me try,” and watching them develop a genuine interest in learning that stays with them beyond the classroom.
