How do I introduce myself in a teacher job interview?

Keep it under 90 seconds: name, years of teaching, boards and grades handled, one signature achievement, one line on teaching philosophy, and why this school interests you.

Panels expect a crisp, structured self-introduction that maps to their JD. A proven P-E-A-S framework:

P — Present. "Good morning. I'm Priya Sharma, a Social Science teacher with 6 years at DAV Public School, Ranchi, teaching Classes VII to X under the CBSE curriculum."

E — Experience. "I've handled History and Civics with an average board score of 82% across three consecutive batches. I also coordinated the SUPW club."

A — Achievement. "Last year my Class 10 batch had 4 students scoring 99+ in Social Science, and I designed the NEP-aligned experiential module the school now uses across sections."

S — School fit. "I'm keen to join [School Name] because your integrated humanities approach and Round Square affiliation match my interest in inquiry-based learning."

End with a question or a smile — don't trail off. Rehearse aloud until it sounds conversational, not scripted.
