What Delhi PGT hiring looks like
Delhi PGT openings concentrate at Class 11-12 subject-teacher slots, IB DP subject specialists, A-Level teachers, and IB/IGCSE coordinator roles. Section loads are lighter than TGT (typically 3-4 sections) but assessment work is heavier — board-exam prep, mock papers, and college-counselling touchpoints.
International schools weight university brand for PGT hires — an M.A./M.Sc. from a top-100 university with an IB or IGCSE certificate opens doors quickly.
How to prepare for a Delhi PGT interview
Bring a Class 12 board question paper you built, plus its marking scheme. Delhi principals almost always ask about exam calibration and how you'd raise a mid-band student to a higher band. Prepare a 30-minute demo on a Class 12 topic — pick a concept students commonly fail (moles, respiration, integration) to signal you can teach the tough units.
If applying to an IB DP school, bring an internal-assessment (IA) sample you moderated and be ready to defend the criterion-band placement.
