The Crescent School was founded by a young Philanthropist, Shaikh Shamsher Alam, in the year 2002 to impart quality education in a well disciplined and healthy environment, and to create an impetus for equal opportunity in the society. The school is declared as a Minority Educational Institution by the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions, Government of India. The school is affiliated to both West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education.
