Teacher Salary Report 2025

Methodology

Uses every job first posted on School Jobs India during the year (India time) that disclosed a salary, including jobs that have since closed or been filled; jobs removed by moderation are excluded. Schools post salaries per month; a posted range above ₹2,00,000 is treated as annual CTC and divided by 12, and monthly amounts below ₹3,000 or above ₹5,00,000 are dropped as entry errors. Each posting contributes the midpoint of its range; figures are medians and interquartile ranges (25th–75th percentile) of those midpoints. Annual = monthly × 12. City tiers: Tier 1 = the eight metros (Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad); Tier 2 = every other city with a city page on this site; Tier 3 = all other towns. Role × tier cells with fewer than 5 postings are not shown. These are advertised salaries, not payroll data. Note: this edition is computed from the most recent 5,000 postings of the year.
