1. Technique-Based
This method emphasizes improving physical skills.
Posture and Balance: In this, one is taught to keep the body in the right shape.
Drills and Repetition: Repeating the same steps over and over again creates muscle memory and the steps become firm.
2. Creative-Based
This method brings out your own thoughts and self-expression.
Improvisation: In this, dance steps are created on their own to the tune of music, without any fixed steps.
Imagery: Children are taught dance through a story or imagination (e.g., flying like a butterfly).
3. Holistic-Based
It combines physical movement, mental peace and entertainment.
(Six Principles of Dance: It mainly uses traveling , turning , jumping , balance , levels , and gestures.)

- Judges in dance competitions primarily look at these four things:
- A. Technique: Body balance and correct movements.
- B. Timing: Whether all the dancers are dancing together to the correct rhythm.
- C. Performance: Your facial expressions and energy.
