Teaching methodology

As a Biology teacher, I believe in making learning meaningful by connecting concepts to students’ everyday experiences. I begin with familiar, real-life situations and gradually lead students into the scientific concept, making the topic easier to understand and relate to. Once the concept is introduced, I continuously connect it back to real-life applications so that students understand not just what they are learning, but why it matters and where they see it in their own lives. I also ensure that every class includes a proper Check for Understanding (CFU). Through questioning, discussions, activities, and quick assessments, I evaluate whether students have understood the concept and address learning gaps immediately. My approach is therefore: Everyday Connect → Concept Building → Real-Life Application → Check for Understanding → Immediate Intervention.
